if you are going to purchase of gemstone, you must read certain things to keep in mind.
Color:For any gemstone, Color is the most vital aspect. Color is determined on three factors, hue, tone and saturation. While hue is the basic color, tone is the degree of lightness or darkness, and saturation is the intensity of the primary color. An ideal choice of color would be bright, intense and vivid. Another consideration is that there should be minimum traces of other colors. Primary color should always be balanced, being neither too dark nor too light. However, at the end of the day, no matter who says what about the ‘perfect’ color of a gemstone, you must pick the one that catches your fancy.
Clarity: : All gemstone come accompanied with marks called Inclusions which are formed during the process of crystallization of the stones or are acquired at the time of polishing. Inclusions really don’t affect or diminish the beauty of a stone and in many cases, actually enhance the look of the stone. Certain stones are innately more included than others due to their composition. Citrine, Aquamarine, Topaz and Tanzanites are usually less included than rubies, sapphires and emeralds.
